Re: Ian Pearce - Goal Machine
In that Roeder relegation season he got thrown in up front as we had nobody else. I think he scored in the first game he did that but didn’t do much afterwards. Good player though I thought. That Tottenham goal was something else. Also remember that Leeds game where he had a stormer as a wing back.

Re: Ian Pearce - Goal Machine
My memory is not the equal of some on here, but I'm sure I remember a time where Ladbrookes in the West stand had fixed odds first scorer slips printed and Pearce was 50/1 to notch first. A traditional injury crisis ensued leading to them announcing he was playing up front so I ploughed in.

Would like to end the story by saying that I was typing this from my yacht in the Carribean from the proceeds, but I dont think he even had a shot.

Re: Ian Pearce - Goal Machine
Cheers for that.

He looks like a good striker in most of those... I suppose there are loads of terrible efforts in the archives which explain why that wasn't his main position

Remember that game someone from the BM stand had a laser in Bowyer's eyes as he was taking the corners

If Eric Cantona ate salted lard for breakfast ... he could have been the mirror of Ian Pearce.

Bit depressing that video though. Too much Carrrick Deal.

Cheers though, Ian! You chubby Iron.

The Leeds plane caught fire on the way home from that match. It was a pity it wasn't really serious.................the absolute cunts.

Re: Ian Pearce - Goal Machine
He was great when he played at right back and was a real handful going forward. He tore Leeds to shreds that night.
